The atmosphere is changing. We are seeing a resurgence of Antisemitism, and not only in Germany. In the wake of the armed conflict between Hamas and Israel, the political atmosphere remains heated even after the ceasefire in October 2025. It is not only Jews living in Germany who no longer feel safe.
Why we stand with Israel
Reports are going around the world of people who no longer dare to say that they are Jewish. Synagogues are being vandalized, Holocaust memorials defaced with swastikas, and Jews publicly antagonized or harrased. Stefan Hensel resigned from his post as Antisemitism Commissioner in December 2025 because the security situation for Jews in Germany has deteriorated dramatically and he no longer felt able to fulfill his duties due to a lack of political support. And most recently the attack on a Hanukkah celebration at Bondi Beach in Australia, in which 15 people died marked a sad climax in the worldwide rise of Antisemitism. The CBN team – as Christians and as Germans, we want to take a firm stance in support of Israel. We Christians are “grafted” into the people of God (according to Romans 11:11-24) and have a responsibility to stand up and take a stand against Antisemitism. We do this, on the one hand, by not remaining silent, but by providing information through a new Israel newsletter and, on the other hand, by supporting various aid projects in Israel.

The work of CBN in Israel
CBN in Israel has two main areas of focus, which are only possible with the help of supporters like you: First, there is a media team that reports on the situation on the ground. And another team carries out a variety of different humanitarian projects with different groups of people:
- CBN supports people in Israel affected by war, terror, and violence with emergency aid, new air raid shelters, and trauma counseling.
- Holocaust survivors and elderly people affected by poverty receive nutritious meals, medical care, and personal visits.
- Jewish immigrants and refugees are provided with food, shelter, medical assistance, and vocational training to help them start a new life.
- Single mothers and families, as well as vulnerable ethnic or religious minorities, receive basic supplies and financial support.
- CBN partners with local organizations to distribute food and household goods to those affected by poverty and operates its own warehouse with healthy food and essential household items.
- Orphans and vulnerable young people receive targeted help for their everyday needs.
- Many Israelis have been traumatized by the hostilities of recent years. Now that the fighting has ceased in October 2025, they can begin to process their experiences. CBN therefore offers professional counseling and workshops to help traumatized individuals build resilience. CBN Israel has established a resilience center specifically for this purpose, which provides those affected with access to specialists such as psychiatrists and therapists.
