Severe rainfall in Valencia

 

Extreme weather conditions have caused major damage in Spain, particularly in the Valencia region. The media report well over 100 deaths. A team from CBN is on site. 

Heavy rainfall caused extensive damage on Tuesday. According to media reports, around 400 liters of rain per square meter fell within a short period of time. The effects are devastating. The Valencia region has been particularly severely affected. Employees of the CBN humanitarian aid organization Operation Blessing have been in Spain since Monday for disaster relief training. They are now in a position to quickly take the necessary steps to help where the need is greatest. The first measures are currently being examined and initiated.
