Myanmar needs your help!
Myanmar has been in a state of civil war since the 1940s. The conflict escalated in 2021. On 28 March 2025, the already poor humanitarian situation was dramatized drastically: several thousand people died in a severe earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 and countless livelihoods were completely destroyed. The CBN relief organization Operation Blessing is giving people new hope.
Because of your support, Operation Blessing works in Myanmar year-round, helping hurting families in a nation crippled by poverty. As soon as the quake struck, the Operation Blessing team in Myanmar began assessing the situation and working alongside local authorities to provide immediate relief. Our teams are working to distribute vital supplies like water filters and solar lights to the hardest hit areas. But the need is overwhelming, and there’s so much more to be done. We are extending our mission in Myanmar and neighboring Thailand. For this we need your help.
What we do
The people of Myanmar are still in desperate need of basic supplies.
- The team in Myanmar distributes food parcels to the population: each parcel contains basic foodstuffs such as rice, oil, sugar and drinking water.
- The distributed hygiene packages help to prevent diseases that occur when basic services are disrupted.
- In addition, medical staff from the Operation Blessing team carry out missions in regions that are medically underserved.
- As the power supply is interrupted in many places, solar lamps are also being distributed to those affected.
- Operation Blessing is also active in neighboring Thailand, which was also affected by the earthquake. In the north of the country, Operation Blessing staff are distributing food parcels, providing medical aid and have set up a water filtration system to supply people with clean water.
The efforts of the CBN relief organization in disaster areas are always aimed at ensuring that the basic needs of those affected are met. This gives them time to come to terms with what they have experienced and to build a new life for themselves.
