The only way for her mother to keep her alive was to feed her condensed milk, as there was no money for higher-quality food. This resulted in a serious malnutrition. While healthy two-year-olds were discovering the world, Nant Myo was battling illness. She was unable to learn how to speak, and her teeth could not develop healthily. The long-term consequences for her development would have been fatal. In Germany a malformation like this is treated soon after being born.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-19505 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/cbndeutschland.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/humanitaer_medizinischehilfe_lcs_nantmyo_before2-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Nant Myo before the operation\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cbndeutschland.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/humanitaer_medizinischehilfe_lcs_nantmyo_before2-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/cbndeutschland.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/humanitaer_medizinischehilfe_lcs_nantmyo_before2-250x250.jpg 250w, https:\/\/cbndeutschland.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/humanitaer_medizinischehilfe_lcs_nantmyo_before2-scaled-1536x1536.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/cbndeutschland.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/humanitaer_medizinischehilfe_lcs_nantmyo_before2-scaled-2048x2048.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/>Due to her parents&#8217; low and irregular income, they could not afford the procedure.<\/strong> Her parents were at times so overworked that her 11-year-old sister had to take care of the little Nant Myo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thanks to the generous donation of a CBN donor, the cleft lip and palate could be surgically corrected.<\/strong> Part of the treatment included a preliminary examination, consultation, and finally the operation and follow-up treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Her parents are infinitely relieved that Nant Myo can now eat food without immediately spitting it out again.
