How Operation Blessing is changing lives in Kenya<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Located on the East African coast, Kenya is a country of impressive beauty and great need at the same time. This is because Kenya faces numerous humanitarian challenges that significantly affect the lives of many people.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Communities suffering from prolonged droughts and economic instability are particularly affected. A lack of agricultural resources and extreme weather conditions make it difficult to ensure a reliable supply of food.<\/p>\n

Access to clean drinking water is also a major problem. Contaminated water is a frequent cause of illness, especially among children. At the same time, medical care in rural areas remains inadequate, meaning that preventable diseases often go untreated.<\/p>\n

Many children, especially orphans and children from marginalized groups, have no access to educational institutions and therefore no chance of a better future. Frequent natural disasters such as droughts and floods exacerbate the situation, destroying livelihoods and driving families into even greater hardship. However, targeted aid can bring hope and bring about long-term change.<\/p>\n

For years, the CBN aid organization Operation Blessing has been investing in the people of Kenya with many programs and projects.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The head of the team in Kenya, Peter Kimaru, and his staff want to make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged people: \u201cOur vision at Operation Blessing is to show God’s love by alleviating human suffering and helping communities to live better lives. We want to create holistic, sustainable solutions that not only meet immediate needs, but also bring about lasting change.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Behind every project are dedicated employees who are passionate about sustainable change. Peter Kimaru sums it up: \u201cI joined Operation Blessing in September 2016 and since then I have been working tirelessly with my team to bring hope and change to the people of this country<\/strong>.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Operation Blessing invests in numerous projects to address the need in Kenya:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Families in need are provided with food<\/strong> in the short term and a better future is made possible for them in the long term by promoting sustainable agriculture<\/strong>, livestock farming<\/strong> and micro-enterprises<\/strong>. This enables families to generate their own income. We present an example of such a project on the next page.<\/p>\n

By drilling and rehabilitating wells<\/strong>, installing water filter systems<\/strong>, and offering hygiene training, people are given and maintain access to clean water.<\/p>\n

Mobile clinics for medical missions,<\/strong> equipping healthcare facilities and financing urgently needed operations improve the health situation in remote regions.<\/p>\n

In the event of disasters, the team in Kenya provides rapid emergency aid<\/strong> by supplying those affected with relief supplies and shelter and by working to sustainably rebuild the destroyed livelihoods of entire communities.<\/p>\n

The aid organization supports initiatives that care for and educate orphans<\/strong> and provide them with food.<\/p>\n
