How construction dryer bring hope after the flood<\/h2>\n

\u201cWe used to have a beautiful garden. We had a playground for children. The house is old, but inside was our home. I’ve lived here since I was a child. And my child is growing up here. And now we have nothing left. Just dirt and filth.\u201d <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Marcelina lives in K\u0142odzko in Poland. The town is located in the south-west of the country, where heavy rainfall and a dam burst in September, flooding entire areas. Marcelina and her neighbor Katarzyna are two of the many people affected. They and their families are currently staying with friends and relatives. They are unable to return to their home at the moment. It is no longer habitable as the water has reached the upper floor. The apartments have been emptied: furniture, electrical appliances, memories – everything had to go. \u201cFortunately, our children are not here with us now, but they are still experiencing it psychologically and emotionally,\u201d<\/em> emphasizes Marcelina. \u201cWe’ve lost everything.\u201d<\/em> Katarzyna bursts into tears at the sight of the destroyed living spaces.<\/p>\n

Employees of the CBN aid organization Operation Blessing heard from Marcelina and Katarzyna, who were particularly hard hit by the floods due to the proximity of their house to the river. They brought them cleaning and disinfectant supplies that had become scarce. But the biggest help was the construction dryer they purchased, which will help to make the living spaces habitable again. They will soon have to leave their accommodation again. The dryer will ensure that the living spaces are dry again in time for winter and that they don’t have to freeze.<\/p>\n

\u201cRight now, we don’t need clothes, water or food. We need equipment like construction dryers,\u201d <\/em>Marcelina makes clear. \u201cThank you, Operation Blessing, for your help and support.\u201d <\/em>Katarzyna joins: \u201cWe thank Operation Blessing for the dryers and for coming and helping us.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\t\t\n\t\t
